In my last post I had promised pictures of my weekend, unfortunately I didn't get round to taking any. Boo! Anyway, I did have a good time and I'm glad I went. Tonight I'm off to a party and hopefully I will take pictures ;).
I'm really excited about my new paperback that is coming out soon. It's slowly coming together. Woohoo! The editing has been done, and now the cover is done! Have a look at this lovely cover done by John Harcourt. Love it! *Doing a victory dance*
I think being able to touch a real book with my words written in it is exciting. Something I once dreamed about and is now becoming a reality. A lot of thanks goes to my lovely boyfriend for helping me achieve this. I'm really grateful for his help getting me to this point. I'm beginning to think about the next one, haha. I think that my book 'Don't say you love me' should also go into paperback, but it's one step at a time I think. So keep your eyes peeled for my paperback!
Upcoming books
At the moment I'm working on a story I did a while ago, 'the gift' series. I've had a few messages about it and I've decided to buckle down and finish it for the people who want a conclusion on this story. I'm sorry for the delay, it will be out soon. That doesn't mean I've abandoned the latest story. I'm working on that too and know exactly where it's going. So these books will be coming out soon too.
Personal things
Party tonight, resting Sunday I hope. I've got some university work to do which I'm hoping to do Sunday afternoon. I've also been accepted to volunteer at the hospice as a bereavement support volunteer. I'm happy about that. As you will notice from some of my stories, I deal with difficult issues. I guess my heart is in trying to help others feel better, even if it's just to sit with them in silence.
Thank you to everyone who read my blog! I've had 36,182 visitors! At least I'm not a lone voice in the wilderness! So thank you, sincerely!
I hope you all have a good weekend! Stay blessed!

The Assassin Book 1
So I have a new story out. If you liked the London and Victor series, you might like this one. I have no idea where it's going but I am excited about it. If you haven't already read Loving You, it's now available on kindle unlimited for a while. I hope you will enjoy this story and look forward to the next instalment.
Excerpt
Jacob had seen her leave, and was quickly behind her. He told Donald to wait in the bar while he spoke to the woman of his dreams.
She reached the car, but before she could even open the door, his hand was on the door prohibiting her from opening it.
‘What the hell…’
He turned her around and pressed his lips against hers. Ruby-Rae could’ve easily resisted, but his touch weakened her in a second. He put his hand behind her head and brought her closer into him. Once she realised what was happening she pulled away.
‘Stop it!’ She breathed heavily.
‘Is that what you really want?’ he searched her eyes. The lighting in the parking, although dim, was enough for him to see her eyes. ‘The way I see it, you want me to keep touching you.’ He ran his hand up her thigh, weakening her further.
That was true. She liked his touch, and it made her feel a little ashamed, but it was hard to resist the man in front of her. He was just unbelievably sexy. This had never happened to her before. He drew closer and she could feel his warm breath against her lips. His dark hair fell to the front of his face and that just made it impossible for her to reason.
‘I can’t do this,’ she used all her strength to resist him.
He pressed his lips against hers again, she shut her eyes and surrendered to the stranger’s touch for a moment. But as soon as that happened, she came to her senses and pushed him away.
‘Stop it,’ she said breathing heavily.
He smiled and ran his hand down the side of her cheek. ‘I will see you soon.’ He stepped back.
Weekend Tings!
It's getting really cold at the moment and all you really want to do is stay in bed, but what kind of life would that be. So I'll be off to Manchester tomorrow. In the afternoon I will be watching rugby with my boo. Eng vs SA, it's going to be interesting. Later we'll go to the Christmas market. Looking forward to that, and hopefully I'll be able to take some pictures and share them with you. The coming week I will be busy with the second part to this series and it will be out very soon. I will also be visiting colleges with my daughter. Time has flown by, it's both scary and exciting at the same time. That's it for now.
Happy reading!

includes Ruby-Rae. The mores Ruby-Rae resists, the more he persists. The thing
he doesn’t know is that he might be doing her a great big favour.
Ruby-Rae has secrets of her own. Perhaps Jacob
is just what she needs, to find the freedom she truly seeks.

Weekend, Updates and everything in between!
I had promised to be on top of my blog, so here it is. Hopefully I can give another jam packed week ahead. Well probably not. Anyway I was in the middle of writing another story when something hit me. I haven't heard this quote for a while, but it became appropriate for the character I'm writing for at the moment. It's the quote from Grey's Anatomy.
Read for yourself!

This kind of sums it up! My character in my new story seems to be beating herself into what others want, but what about her? What about what she needs? Her needs are not invalid, they matter and she shouldn't feel bad for asking for what she needs. The evening I heard this quote I was watching Grey's and just living in my own bubble, until that quote. I was in a situation myself at the time and it suddenly dawned on me that it wasn't up to the person I was dating to make the change, it was up to me. I realised that he couldn't give me what I NEEDED, and no amount of pleading would make him do it. It was then that I took action and walked away from a situation that no longer served me, because I realised that he wasn't the SUN. I WAS! It was a sad, but a freeing moment, a moment I hope my character will take when the time is right.
Hopefully, Ruby-Rae - that's her name - will meet someone who will choose her, because she is worth it!
What's happening this weekend?
For starters I've started on the red wine. See my works station!
So let's start with the most important thing! You guessed it, Forensics for Dummies (NOT). The wine of course. I feel like Olivia Pope after a long day when she takes a swig at her wine glass. I savour the taste a while, then feel that everything is A-okay.
As you can see there is quite a bit of junk on there, including nail polish, chocolate and my uni books. I'm studying a degree in Psychology. All of this so called junk is relevant, even the forty pence. I should remember to take it with me so I can pay for parking.
You must be wondering about the masks in the background. I will leave that to your imagination, teehee!
So after I've finished doing what I have to do for tomorrow's tutorial, I will make tea and then head out to my friends house for a chat. So I have to take it easy with the wine. I will however have more when I get back and have a little dance out. It's me alone at home tonight.
Tomorrow I'll be at University, and on Sunday I plan to take my dog for a long walk. I've even convinced my fifteen year old to come with me. But this will only happen if the weather is good and I can actually be bothered. Watch this space!
I hope you have a fab weekend! Keep your eyes peeled for my new release coming out soon! In the meantime you can dance it out like I will later tonight with a full glass of wine in my hand!
Keep being you!

Loving The Broken You
I've finally finished Loving the broken you. I enjoyed writing it, but I'm also glad that I can now move onto something else. I wanted to address the issue of depression as an illness not something that people do on purpose and I hope that I have managed to show that side of life. This book is now available at all outlets.
One day Beverly can’t get out of bed. It isn’t
because she doesn’t want to, but she can’t master the strength to do so. Her
life becomes hard to manage. Once upon a time she was capable of doing
anything, but lately, the smallest tasks are hard. Beverly is depressed, but
she doesn’t want to admit it. To do so would mean she was weak. But by not admitting
this problem, things get worse. The more she tries to cope alone, the harder it
is. Philip her lovely husband has tried to support her through it all, but at
the end of the day, it is up to her to get out of the darkness that clouds her
life.
On the road to recovery, Beverly meets Lucy,
who makes her see life differently. Beverly begins to live in the moment and
appreciates the love her husband has given her. He is the most important part
of her recovery, and he’s sticks by her until the end. Philip loves the broken
part of her, and his support shows just that.
Excerpt
The
next morning, Beverly didn’t get out of bed, nor did she get out of bed the day
after. It was on the third day, which was a Saturday did, Philip try and get
her out of bed. Like the other days she’d stayed in bed, he brought her a
morning coffee.
‘Morning
honey, it’s eleven o’clock. I’ve brought you a coffee.’ He placed it on the
side table. ‘Honey?’ He gently pulled the covers off. ‘Are you going to get out
of bed today?’
She
squinted her eyes up at him.
‘You
really need to try and do something.’
‘I
don’t want to.’ She pulled the covers over her again.
‘I
know you don’t or don’t feel like it. You have to at least try.’
‘I
don’t have the energy.’ She spoke beneath the cover. Beverly wanted to be her
happy self, but couldn’t master the strength to bring that person out. A few
months ago, Beverly would’ve been up by eight. The house would’ve been tidied
and her day scheduled. That wasn’t the case for the past few months. Things had
deteriorated dramatically. She wasn’t eating enough; her mind was racing with
thoughts at times. Helplessness engulfed her, keeping her down and powerless to
change.
‘I
think you need help,’ he said as gently as he could. ‘You can’t go on like
this.’
‘Help?’
‘Yes
honey. I’ve been reading up on stuff and I think you’re depressed.’
She
didn’t like that word. It meant weakness, it meant she’d lost control. She
wasn’t depressed, she was just having a bad period.
‘You
need to seek help, this isn’t improving.’
The
covers shifted and she sat up. ‘I’m fine. Now give me my coffee.’ It had taken
all the strength she could muster to sit up. Life just wasn’t worth living, but
she wasn’t ready to admit that she’d weakened.
‘You’re
not fine.’ He handed her the coffee. ‘You’re far from fine.’
She
took a sip of the hot drink.
‘When
did you last go out with your friends?’
Beverly
couldn’t answer that because it had been awhile.
‘When
did you last speak to them? When did you last speak to Laura. You two were
inseparable.’
‘She’s
been busy.’
‘Sweetie.’
He tried to take her hand, but she pulled it back. ‘You haven’t written in a
while, you don’t get out of bed as much, and you drinking way too much.’
‘Are
you judging me? I don’t need a father. I
need a husband,’ she said defensive.
‘And
I’m trying to be that to you. You just
won’t let me. I’ve done everything in my power to make you happy, to make you
feel better, but you just don’t see it. It’s like there’s this dark cloud over
you.’
‘What
do you want from me? What do you want me to do?’ Her voice began to rise and
her eyes glazed over. ‘I’m just tired. If you leave me alone and let me figure
this out, I’ll be fine.’
‘I
don’t know about that. This has been going on a little longer than I think is
healthy.’
‘Okay
I’ll give Laura a ring and arrange to go out for drinks. Will that please you?’
‘It’s
not about pleasing me. It’s about you taking care of you. I’m just worried
about you. I love you.’
She
lowered her head feeling ashamed all over again. This seemed to be the cycle,
anger, sadness and shame.
‘Just
leave me alone.’
Happy reading!

New Standalone story
So I've decided to do something a little different with this story. Instead of having it in parts, I've put it all into one book. This new story is not so new, not the first half of it. I had originally called the Story 'Tell Me Why.' But after giving it some thought I decided to complete the whole story. So here you have it. A standalone. No waiting for the next series, you can find out what happens all in one book.
This book is now available on Amazon
This book is now available on Amazon
Two dark pasts meet. Freya has a dark past that
no one knows about. She hides it, but not well enough because her substance
abuse has taken over her life. Funnily she’s a successful business woman and
has some good relationships, but one night something triggers her past so much
that she can’t take it. That night she meets Ferguson, the billionaire who also
has a dark past.
Ferguson is at a party when he’s called away
for an emergency, and this is when Freya and Ferguson’s paths meet. The two
have to help each other defeat the demons of their pasts, but it’s not as
simple as it sounds.
Can two traumatised people finally find peace
with each other, even if it means that it isn’t the healthiest way? Time will
tell.
What's next?
Well I'm starting to work on story about a surrogate. I'm not sure which direction it will take so I can't really say what it's about. I have an idea, but like most of my ideas, they change all the time. I start discovering new things about the story I didn't know would come about. I guess that's what makes the stories exciting to write.
On the personal front
Things are going steadily for me. As a writer things can be a little bit uneasy because you never know what book readers will like. I'm still enjoying being in a relationship. It's been interesting to go from single for a good six years to being in a relationship. I do like having someone, it's nicer. It's fun as well. Next month we'll be going to Italy, which will be exciting. I hope to take some good pictures and share them on the blog with you. I've never been to Italy, so I'm certain I'm going to enjoy it!
That's all for now.

Updates and New Series
I've started working on a romantic thriller that deals with substance abuse called Tell me why (Darkness Meets series). There is more to come and would like to see where this story goes. It's available to download on Amazon.
What's happening this week.
The week brings more writing and still working on getting my Loving You series into print. It will probably be out end of the year, hopefully sooner. I will be focusing on the Darkness meets series and hope to have the second part out very soon. What I would like to do is complete this series before working on another one. Sometimes I stop writing series because they don't do well and don't feel inspired to continue to work on something that's not selling. There will be two series I've not finished that I do intend to finish though. I will post an update when that happens.
That's all for now, not much on the personal front only that I'm enjoying my life very much. It's funny how when you stop wanting something it appears. Weird. I guess it's just the way life is and each time I let go of something I want, it shows up.
I hope you have a great week and you can find my new book on Amazon. Hope you enjoy!

Synopsis
Out into the dark she ran! Onto the street, down the road and finally
stopped at a railway bridge. Without giving much thought she began to climb up
onto the wall of the bridge that would send her plunging to her death. All she
had to do was wait for a passing train, drop in good time and that would be the
end of all the voices!
‘What the hell! Stop the car!’ Ferguson had seen the woman go up onto
the bridge. The driver stopped the car and Ferguson got out without waiting for
his driver to open the door. ‘Hey, what are you doing?’ he asked walking up to
her slowly.
‘Waiting to die.’ She held onto her head.
‘Why would you want to do that?’ He noticed blood coming from her foot.
What had been so bad that this woman wanted to kill herself. He could only
imagine.
‘What do you care?’ She gasped.
‘You’re right, what do I care, but I think you’ve got so much ahead of
you. You just don’t know it yet.’
‘Yeah? How would you know?’ She moved so that she was on the edge,
swinging her legs.
‘Because a long time ago I felt the exact same way. I wanted to die. I
tried to cut my wrists, end it all. Have a look at my wrists.’ He moved closer.
She stopped a moment and looked at him, the voices were a little
distant, but still there.
‘Look.’ He pulled up the suit jacket and the sleeves to the shirt.
She looked at the man who was now standing so close to her. There was a
whiff of cologne that soothed her somewhat. It wasn’t that cheap smell that had
once haunted her, that had caused the voices to stir up again and cause this
drama.
‘Did you hear voices like me?’ she asked.
‘Do you hear voices?’
She nodded. ‘I can’t stop them. They’ve been away, but today they came
back.’
‘Why don’t you come down and we talk about it?’
‘No. I don’t want to talk! I’ve been talking half my life.’ She clung
onto her head and began to make a painful howling sound.
‘Okay we won’t talk, but I can’t let you jump.’
‘You can’t stop me,’ she said stopping for a while.
‘I can. I’m a lot stronger, plus I have him.’ He pointed at his driver.
‘If I have to we’ll both pull you down.’
‘No! I won’t let you.’
‘I only want to help,’ he said in a calm voice. ‘What’s your name?’
For a moment she held onto her head and began to move again. Ferguson
was worried she’d fall off the ledge and get hurt.
‘What’s your name?’ he asked again in a soft voice.
‘Freya,’ she said without turning. ‘Freya, Freya, Freya!’
‘Nice name.’
She kept moving, this time he turned to his driver and told him to call
for help.
‘You can’t do that. I’ll jump.’
‘I will not call for help if you let me help you down and I take you
home.’
She stopped. ‘No. I don’t want to go home!’ She sounded like a spoilt
child. Ferguson nodded for his driver to make the call. He wasn’t going to let
this woman die on his watch and he had to be moving on too.
‘Okay you don’t have to go home. At least give me one good reason why
you think death is the answer.’
‘It won’t hurt anymore. The voices will be gone!’ She cried as she said
this.
‘What do the voices say?’
‘They say yes, yes, yes!’
‘Yes to what?’ He didn’t understand.
In the distance there was the sound of a siren approaching.
‘I don’t want to go back, I won’t.’ She was about to plunge when he
grabbed her by the waist and pulled her back to the ground.
‘Let me go! Let me go!’ She fought him hard, kicking and scratching
where she could.
‘It’s okay, you’ll be in good hands soon,’ he reassured her, but only
made her worse.
The ambulance pulled up and the paramedics took over.
